Miniskirt

I'm talking about those "fuew fuew" kind, of cottony material with ruffles that moves about when one walks. Something like the pic but with bigger ruffles:This particular one is dark pink in color. Lalala...I was taking the escalator up to office, like what I do everyday. This little pink thing caught my eye. I was thinking "hmm...wonder if some skebe from this end of escalator look up, can see or not??? (ok ok I admit, I myself also skebe la!)" So consciously subconsciously, I was concentrating extremely hard in that direction... Suddenly! *GASPS* Right when she stepped off that last step. ***Blue and white G-string!*** ***Nice wah sibeh round tush!!!*** Think my heart skipped a beat. (I'm straight. In case you skebes wondering.) Next time wear miniskirt have to be more careful liao. ;p

Express regret ≠ Apologize

From Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Apologize: an admission of error or discourtesy accompanied by an expression of regret In an apology the speaker admits to doing something wrong, and says that he/she feels bad about this. Express regret means one is sorry about what happened but can maintain that what one did was not wrong. For example: "The bombers expressed regret for the civilian casualties." (not admitting a fault, so not apologizing) Well...better than nothing i guess. Actually, to think of it, Singapore should really thank her. Without her insensitive nut comment, the NKF saga probably won't receive as much attention as it did. Hopefully, charities from now on will be more responsible and transparent so that this lesson is not wasted.

Accident

Witness a car accident today. Was eating Zi Cha at a coffee shop by the road side. Suddenly heard a huge bang. Looked up, saw a car stopped at the junction but didn't really see anything else. (So technically, I did not witness the accident happening.) Everyone stared in that direction, not really sure what we are looking out for. Luckily several people had the sense to call the police immediately. (While me and my family still blur blur don't know what has happened.) Apparently, there was an accident between a sedan car and a motorcycle. Shit! A bike!!! Was damn worried for the bike rider. Several other cars stopped, people started gathering around the scene. Everyone is trying to make sure that other cars don't run over him. But no one dared to move him. Luckily, he was conscious and was able to move his hands and legs slightly. Shortly after, the police arrived. According to some eye witnesses, the bike was going straight and the car was making a right turn when they collided. Both of them were probably assuming that the other will stop for them... If you want to assume anything on the road, always assume that others are going to fuk up. Avoid dangerous situations at all times. It is never worth the accident even if you are in the right and the others are in the wrong. Sincerely hope that guy will be fine.

Tell them

Not forgetting that many of the kind souls who contributed their hard earn money are lowly paid, lowly educated or uneducated uncles and aunties.

Tell them it’s their fault that they did not do extensive research on NKF and evaluate the company's financial status before making donations. Tell them they should not get pissed just because Mrs. SM said $600,000 is peanuts as compared to NKF's $200 million reserve. The money they make is not even comparable to the bacteria on the peanuts.

Peanuts

It is ridiculous for a charity to keep more than 30 years of reserve!!! WTF!!! What about the charities that don't even have enough to function right now? Most people only have so much they can afford to give. If the money goes to one charity just to seat there and earn interest, that means other needy charities will get less. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to have peanuts as "small" as Mrs Goh's. While pointing all fingers to NKF, one have to realize the government should also bear a big part of the responsibility. Is there no organization to oversee the runnings of charities? How come the biggest and one of the once most respectable charity organization be allowed to grow so outrageously out of proportion? I sincerely hope that this incident do not just end with Durai leaving NKF. The whole charity system should be re-examined and reformed. Not asking only for more transparency but for total transparency. Also, a limit should be set as to how much reserve a charity is allowed to keep. As for the injudicious comments made by Mrs. SM...sigh...it's such a disgrace. love is responsibility

don't think one can really separate the two. if you love someone, you'll feel responsible for them. if you love them but don't feel responsible for them, you can't really say u love them. someone asked, what if you feel responsible for them, but may not feel the love, the warmth that comes with it? if you feel responsible for them but don't feel the warmth, it's most likely you don't know that u love them. if not, you will not bother about responsibility in the first place.

the courtesy of asking

one should always have the courtesy of asking when they are trying to make decision for others. even if they already know what the answer might be. if they did not, even if the decision is what the other party would want, he or she still have the right to get pissed.
